CONSOLIDATING A STUDIO

Our Studio has been actively working for 12 years. We believe that when we design, we are not simply working; we also wish to contribute to the environment in which human beings inhabit, aiming at spaces “that create emotions”, as Le Corbusier (1887 - 1965) used to say; as the environment in which the new architecture is inserted is modified –Toward an Architecture (Paris, 1923). Undoubtedly, experience and basic knowledge has reached us by means of an exchange of ideas with those who have trusted us with work—that coming and going of impressions and needs shared with the client as the assigned project is developed, be it a house, a commercial space, a building, etc.

The fundamental protagonist in an architecture project’s development is he or she who entrusts it. The architect must interpret the person’s ideas, understand their needs, bring them closer to their dream, and cover their expectations in a space that optimizes their quality of life and responds to the function for which it was designed. We started in 2008 as two young enthusiasts dedicated to interior design and remodeling. Today, we can proudly say that PRO Arquitectos is composed of 15 architects and 20 external technical advisors; that is, 35 professionals who are, in turn, divided into three work teams: the Creative Team, which is in charge of developing ideas and preliminary designs; the Technical team, which is the branch in charge of executive projects; and the Project Management Team, which is responsible for overseeing the correct execution of projects. It is thanks to this young team that we are unafraid to experiment with new materials, technologies and solutions when creating buildings that are contextualized in time, and are able to remain current, despite of the passage of time. Our years of work also allow us to ensure that we are only just beginning to transit the path of an architecture that seeks to honor its surroundings while also expecting to improve it, and, above all, respects the owner’s wishes while incorporating our trademark.
